In less than a day, Food Network will launch a fresh new baking competition called Stab That Cake. The next reality television series will feature three skilled bakers who will put their abilities to the ultimate test. Stab That Cake will debut on Cooking Channel on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT. The three bakers will place their realistic cakes beside genuine things in a grocery store to see if they can pass for the real thing.
Stab That Cake’s official summary is as follows:
“Three Bakers compete to see whether their hyper-realistic cakes can deceive two pairs of Stabbers (cake enthusiasts) at a grocery shop, where they must decide what is genuine and what is cake concealed in plain sight.”
The participants will be challenged with covering their cakes in edible plastic in the first episode of the program, titled Is That a Fruit Cake? Just a few days before the first episode of Stab That Cake, presented by Jocelyn Delk Adams and John Henson, airs on Cooking Channel, here’s everything you need to know about episode one.
The first episode of Stab That Cake will air on Cooking Chanel on December 30, 2022.
The official summary for the first episode, titled Is That a Fruit Cake, reads:
“In Round 2, presenters John Henson and Jocelyn Delk Adams challenge the surviving bakers to wrap their cakes in edible plastic in order to confound the stabbers with their realistic cake re-creations of products seen in the produce department.”
Cake lovers must choose which items they see are genuine and which are hyper-realistic cakes. The first episode will air on Friday, December 30 at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT. With a valid YouTube TV subscription, viewers without cable may watch the episode live.
According to the show’s press release:
“Hosts John Henson and Jocelyn Delk Adams assign the bakers the challenge of creating and then concealing their cakes in plain sight across a grocery store setting, where two teams of cake aficionados race to decide what is genuine and what is cake.”
To make their cakes seem authentic, the bakers must use every new and creative approach at their disposal. The tasks will get more challenging in order to push the cake makers’ creations and abilities to the next level.”
