Raqhid Render Also Known As Lil Keed Passed Away At The Age Of 24

Raqhid Render, also known as Lil Keed, died at the age of 24. His brother Lil Gotit verified the news on Instagram, writing:

“I can’t believe I saw you die today bro I cried all my tears I know what u want me to do and that’s go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy”

On Saturday, May 14, Keed was slated to perform in Charlotte, North Carolina. Until today, the cause of death has remained unknown.

Who exactly was Lil Keed?

Raqhid Render nicknamed Lil Keed was the fifth of seven children born on March 17, 1998. His parents divorced when he was quite young. During his adolescence, he worked at Subway and McDonald’s. To pursue his passion of becoming a rapper, he began producing music with his younger brother Semaja Render and sharing it online. In July 2018, Keed released his song Slatt Rock featuring Paper Lovee. In October 2018, he and his younger brother Lil Gotit were featured in Lil Uzi Vert’s song Heavy Metal. In December 2018, he released his mixtape Keed Talk To ‘Em, which was followed by additional famous tracks.

In March 2019, he was featured in Lil Gotit’s track Drop the Top, followed by Move It starring Offset. In April 2019, he released Oh My God, followed by Proud Of Me starring Young Thug in May 2019. Long Live Mexico, Keed’s first studio album, was released in June 2019 and included Gunna, Lil Uzi Vert, Roddy Ricch, YNW Melly, and Young Thug. The album debuted at number 26 on the Billboard 200.

Following the release of a couple more songs, he announced the release of his second studio album, Trapped on Cleveland 3, in January 2020. Keed disclosed the album’s release date and cover art in July 2020. Trapped on Cleveland 3 was released in August 2020 and featured Travis Scott, 42 Dugg, Lil Baby, Ty Dolla Sign, and Young Thug.
