Jodie Sweetin, an American actress, has married her longtime companion Mescal Wasilewski. According to People Magazine, Jodie married in the garden of her Malibu home on July 30. The ceremony included Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber, and John Stamos, as well as the 40-year-old star’s two kids, Zoie (14) and Beatrix (11), and other Full House cast mates. Sweetin wore a Lili Bridals gown to her wedding and went down the aisle with her father, Sam, in front of a small crowd of 50 people. As she exchanged vows with Mescal Wasilewski, her daughters stood by her side. The invitees, along with the Full House actors, reportedly enjoyed tacos, guacamole bars, cakes, and dessert after the couple said their “I do’s.”
Mescal Wasilewski and Jodie Sweetin have been dating for five years.
Before deciding to spend the rest of their lives together, Jodie Sweetin and Mescal Wasilewski were longstanding companions. They met for the first time in 2017 after mutual friends introduced them. According to the Daily Mail, the pair met at a concert in Brooklyn on their first date and started their long-distance romance shortly after. Jodie Sweetin and Mescal Wasilewski maintained their romance by traveling between Los Angeles and New York. Until Mescal chose to relocate to California in 2020.
Sweetin commended Wasilewski’s efforts in their long-distance relationship on the Allison Interviews podcast.
“My boyfriend and I have been together for four years, and he has done a great job with everything.” He and I had a long-distance relationship initially. He was in Brooklyn, while I was in [Los Angeles] for three and a half years, and it was leisurely and pleasant.”
The couple confirmed their engagement two years later, in January 2022. In an interview with People magazine in April, the actress expressed enthusiasm about the new chapter in her life.
“We have such a strong bond. He’s educated and hilarious, and he’s my greatest fan. It really is wonderful.”
She also mentioned how her now-husband had been close to her kids.
“He adores my kids, which is really essential. I remember suddenly thinking, ‘I want something a lot different than what I wanted [in a relationship] 10 years ago,’ and that’s made things so simple.”
Jodie Sweetin is walking down the aisle for the fourth time, not the first. In 2002, she married Shaun Holguin for the first time. They were married for four years before divorcing in 2006. Jodie later married transportation coordinator Cody Herpin in 2007. They had their first and only child, a girl called Zoie, a year later. Sweetin and Herpin, on the other hand, divorced in 2010. Jodie married Los Angeles-based DJ Morty Coyle for the third time in 2012, and she was a bridesmaid for the third time. Beatrix, the couple’s 11-year-old daughter, is their only child. Their marriage, however, was short-lived, and they divorced four years later in 2016.
