Joakim Maehle is a Danish-born professional footballer who plays as a full-back for Series A club Atlanta and the Denmark national team.

So far in his career
Joakim began his football career with his local team Ostervra IF before moving to AaB at the age of 12. He broke into the first-team squad in 2016 at the age of 19, thanks to hard work and devotion, and earned a full-time deal with the club the following year. Later that year, he agreed to a new deal until 2020. He joined the Belgian club Genk in July 2017, following right-back Timothy Castagne. He did not start his debut season with the club because he was competing for a starting spot with Clinton Mata.
After Clinton Mata came to Club Brugge, he was able to secure a permanent starting spot in his second season. With three goals and five assists, he helped the squad capture their fourth league championship. Atlanta signed him to a five-year deal in December 2020, but his move was not finalized until January 4, 2021. In 25 appearances for his nation, Joakim has nine goals.
