Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas received an Oscar for their song No Time to Die from the James Bond film of the same name at the 94th Academy Awards on Sunday. The twins received the Oscar for Best Original Song. In March 2021, the song previously won a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media. Billie Eilish is also the first artist born in the twenty-first century to win an Oscar.
Billie Eilish remarked when she accepted the prize,
“I’m about to scream because this is so ridiculous.” The 20-year-old vocalist complimented Hans Zimmer, who composed the song’s orchestral arrangement, and guitarist Johnny Marr for “taking our song and making it worthy of James Bond.”
Meanwhile, Hans Zimmer received an Oscar for best original score for the soundtrack of Dune at the Academy Awards.
Meanwhile, Finneas said,
“Finally, we’d want to thank our parents, who have always been our greatest inspirations and idols.” We adore you as parents, but we also adore you as individuals. Thank you very much, Academy. We pledge not to misplace them.”

More about Billie Eilish’s achievements
Billie Eilish is one of the Academy Award’s youngest recipients. Previously. Markéta Irglová was 19 years old when she won an Oscar for Best Original Song for Falling Slowly in 2008. Billie Elish and Finneas, on the other hand, are the first American composers to win Best Original Song for a Bond theme. Dixson and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter for Be Alive from King Richard, Lin-Manuel Miranda for Dos Oruguitas from Encanto, Van Morrison for Down to Joy from Belfast, and Diane Warren for Somehow You Do from Four Good Days were among the other contenders in the same category — Best Original Song.
Previous Bond films, Skyfall and Spectre, also won Best Original Song at the Oscars, but both songs were composed by English singers and composers. Adele and Paul Epworth wrote Skyfall, while Sam Smith and Jimmy Napes wrote Spectre’s Writing’s on the Wall. Billie Eilish has completed her EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony) by winning the Academy Award. No Time to Die received a Golden Globe for Best Original Song earlier this month, as well as a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media last year. Billie Eilish has garnered several honors and nominations during her career, the most recent of which were seven Grammys in 2020 and 2021. For the album Bad Guy, the singer won Record of the Year and Song of the Year in 2020.
