On December 12, Netflix officially announced Bae Suzy and Yang Se-jong as the stars in the forthcoming romantic series Doona!, an adaptation of the well-known webtoon The Girl Downstairs by artist Min Song-ah. Lee Jung-hyo, the director of Crash Landing on You, will direct the series. The filmmaker has previously worked on blockbuster shows such as Life on Mars and Romance is a Bonus Book. Doona! follows the blossoming relationship between a retired K-pop star and an ordinary university student. Unavoidable circumstances will force the couple to share a home. Bae Suzy will play retired K-pop star Lee Doo-na, while Yang Se-jong will play Won Joon, an average university student.
