Apparently Hollywood is not all about that glam. Every now and then we are brought to the realization that the faces we see on our screens are mere humans just like us, capable of getting embarrassed. But unlike us, they have cameras that follow them nearly everywhere, scrutinizing their every move so anytime anything worth a laugh happens to them, we all get to know it. It sounds a little cruel but they did kinda sign up for it, and it also gets them publicity. We gathered 20 epic red carpet fails that you have to know about!
20. Amy Schumer – The Dive
At the 2015 TIME 100 Gala at New York City, the beloved comedian, Amy Schumer took a dive, face first in front of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West as they entered the gala. The prank turned out to be a total failure as Kim and Kanye just walked past Amy on the floor as they did not know of her at the time.
19. Jennifer Lawrence – Falling and Falling Again
Jennifer Lawrence is not known for being a woman of grace, but that’s okay, we still love her in spite of that she continues to display her normalness by being a complete clutz. In the 2013 Oscars, Jen took a flight to the floor instead of the stairs leading to her Oscar awards. In 2014 she tripped by a red cone, causing a roar of laughter on the internet.
18. Zac Efron – The Awkward Moment
Zac Efron was walking the red carpet of the children’s film, Lorax in 2012 when a condom fell from his pocket onto the red carpet as he went to greet a fan. Embarrassed, he quickly swept up, but he seemed to be a little too late for the camera.

Angelina has always been a stunner for Hollywood, but nothing left everyone more stunned than her 2000s Oscar appearance in which she won the award for best-supporting actress. Accompanied by her brother, she told the camera how much she loved him and proceeded to kiss him sparking speculations of incest among the two.

Cruise is known for having moments of embarrassment, but this cringe-worthy incident in 2005 won the medal. During a red carpet interview, a fake reporter interviewing Tom thought it would be funny to squirt water on him and boy did he regret it as Tom laid it on him.

At the 2013 MTV VMA’s, Iggy wore a beautiful black dress with high slits. Let’s just say the dress didn’t do a good job hiding her lady parts as she walked and gave a full eye to everyone.
14. Hayden Panettiere – Falling off the Stairs
Hayden had a little trouble keeping her feet on the ground as she walked down the stairs in the Met Gala in 2014 and tripped but managed to save her ass by picking herself up and laughing it off.
13. Kim Kardashian – The Flour Incident
Kim was at the red carpet for the launch of her perfume “True Reflection” greeting her fans on camera when an unknown woman started throwing flour on her. Kim avoided the cameras and looked for an escape and came back looking fine as always.
12. Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake – Matching Denim
In the 2001 American Music Awards, both Britney and Justin wore matching denim to which may have seemed cute to them, but to the viewers, it was a fail. A 2016 report says Justin regrets the denim.

At the David Lynch Foundation’s National Night of Laughter and Song, Ke$ha approached the 63-year-old Jerry Seinfeld, who was in the middle of an interview, for a hug which he denied. Ke$ha made three attempts, all of which were denied. Talk about awkward…

It may be the most uncomfortable picture ever – John Travolta grabs Scarlett by her hips, leans towards her and tries to give her a kiss, which wouldn’t be so awkward if Scarlett weren’t this stiff and rigid.
9. Susan Sarandon – Barefoot
In the red carpet in New Zealand in 2009, Susan Saradon decided to go barefoot in the middle of December. Perhaps she was trying to make a statement, but what was the statement about, remained unknown. Let’s just hope she doesn’t have bunions.
8. Jim Carrey – Nothing is Real
Maybe this was more uncomfortable for the riporter than Jim Carrey himself. At the Harpers Bazaar ICONS party in 2017, Carrey tried to be very philosophical and started to explain to the reporter that nothing was real, not even him.
7. Taylor Swift – The Death Stare
At the 2015 Grammys red carpet, a reporter told Taylor Swift that “You’re going to walk with more than a trophy tonight, I think, lots of men”. After hearing this, Taylor gave her this look that you can see in the picture and simply said “I’m not going to walk away with any men tonight”.

The actress of 50 Shades of Grey, Dakota Johnson was accompanied to the red carpet by her mother. When the interviewer asked her mother if she had seen her daughter’s movie, the audience knew a sensitive topic had been touched making them very awkward.

On the red carpet of the 2014 Santa Barbara Film Festival in California, Leo couldn’t help but laugh at the fan who ran over to him and hugged his crotch. Not really red carpet material, don’t you say?
4. Tiffany Haddish – Loving Meryl Streep Too Much
In this year’s Academy Awards, the star of Girls Trip, Tiffany Haddish jumped over the red carpet ropes at the sight of Meryl Streep to give her a hug. Tiffany mentioned a thousand times in the media that she would want Meryl to take part in Girls Trip 2, and after the rope incident, she also said it on the podium while presenting an award with Maya Rudolph. She said “I want you to be my mama one day. Let’s get this money, girl!”. Meryl was laughing and clapping in the audience.
3. Beyonce – Said “Stop it” to Her Assistant
Beyonce while on the TIDAL X: 1020 concert red carpet was accompanied by her assistant, Sam who was supposed to help her with any wardrobe malfunctions or whatsoever. Perhaps the prodding was too much for Queen B who let out a sharp “Stop it.” to her assistant, loud enough for people around to hear.

Joy gave us a demonstration of how it can hurt being a girl as she walked the carpet all wobbly on her heels. A little embarrassing but very relatable, Joy… very relatable.
