Emily Ferguson, an alum of Bachelor in Paradise, revealed the forthcoming addition to her family on Instagram. Her husband, William Karlsson, announced their pregnancy with a lovely image of the couple. The BiP alum also announced Baby Karlsson’s arrival in May 2023 on social media. Emily’s caption was as follows:
“Starting a family has been something we’ve spoken about since we first met, and it’s a dream come true to announce baby Karlsson.”
Emily made her Bachelor debut with her sister during Ben Higgin’s season of The Bachelor, and she then returned for many seasons of Bachelor in Paradise. She left paradise without discovering love, only to re-discover it in 2020 by sneaking into her husband’s DMs. In 2021, the ice hockey player proposed to her, and the pair married in July 2022.

William Karlsson is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League. The 29-year-old inked a one-year, $5.25 million deal with Vegas for the 2018-19 season and indicated that he was betting on himself. This was followed by a further eight-year contract extension. Karlsson and the Bachelor in Paradise alum initially met on social media, when Emily crept into his DMs. In April 2022, she told BachelorNation.com that she understood nothing about hockey and simply thought it was a nice sport. She continued, saying:
“It’s simply a strange tale; I think it’s so strange that you can meet someone on social media by sending them a DM and now I’m married to him.”
Emily also discussed how she announced their engagement on Instagram with the caption:
“YES, I SAID!”
The caption continued:
“I’m getting married to the guy of my dreams. This is a moment I’ve wanted to have since I was a small kid, and it’s even better than I could have imagined since it’s with my ideal person. I can’t wait to become old and laugh with you for the rest of my life.”
Since then, the two have been inseparable. The Bachelor in Paradise actress proposed to Karlsson on December 11, 2020, and celebrated with her sister, Haley, who also participated in the series. The Bachelor in Paradise alum and her hockey hottie married in June 2022 in Las Vegas, at Resorts World, in a classic Vegas ceremony attended by Elvis. She told Us Weekly that her wedding was a dream come true for her and her sister since they were youngsters, and that having her at her side was an honor.
To date, the pair has just revealed on social media that they would be welcoming a new member in May 2023. Former cast mates congratulated her and wished her their best wishes. Lauren Lane continued:
