Koko Iwasaki, a DWTS (Dancing With The Stars) pro, recently revealed her engagement to Kiki Nyemchek, a former SYTYCD (So You Think You Can Dance) contestant and longtime lover. On Sunday, November 27, 2022, Koko shared photos of her proposal and her massive engagement ring on Instagram. On November 26, 2022, Kiki proposed with an oval-cut diamond ring, to which Koko replied, “easy yes.”
The pair, who have been dating for four years, met on SYTYCD season 14 in 2017. Koko finished second, while Kiki finished fourth. They also appeared on the 2017 SYTYCD tour. In 2018, the pair confirmed their romance. The DWTS pro dancer revealed on Instagram that she was dating Kiki. They both performed on The Masked Dancer in December 2020 and on the DWTS Live tour in 2022.

Koine Iwasaki (Koko) is a 25-year-old professional dancer from Kanagawa, Japan. For the last 21 years, she has been dancing. According to The Dance & Co website, she traveled to the United States with her family when she was two years old, hoping to live her best life there. Both of the dancer’s parents are cooks. She grew raised in South Florida and started dancing when she was three years old when her parents enrolled her in dance courses. She chose to make dancing a job and dance for the rest of her life when she was six years old, and she started her professional dance career at the age of sixteen. The professional dancer claims that dancing helps her feel alive and gives her a sense of purpose.
Koko has been attending the same dancing facility for 18 years and is trained in a variety of dance forms such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and tap. She was learning every dance form except ballroom. However, she said that she became hooked on ballroom dancing when her now-fiance taught her the dance technique during season 14 of SYTYCD. The DWTS contestant Koko has collaborated with Jason Derulo, Becky G, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Luis Fonsi, and Camila Cabello, among others. Koko has also performed on globe tours with Maluma and Luis Fonsi. She even went on Dancing With The Stars dance tours with Maks, Val, and Peta.
Koko finished second in SYTYCD season 14 behind hip-hop dancer Lex Ishimoto. She is currently a show Allstar/Mentor. Koko has been on The Ellen Show, Billboard Awards, Grammys, and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve Special. Koko was partnered with Vinny Guadagnino from Jersey Shore in DWTS season 31. Koko presently resides in Los Angeles, California, where he is pursuing a career as a professional dancer and choreographer. Koko is a nature lover who enjoys being outdoors as well as meditating and cooking.
