Kaalan Walker, a 27-year-old Superfly actor, was sentenced to 50 years in jail on October 17, 2022, for allegedly s*xually abusing many women. According to People News, Kalaan Walker was convicted on April 18, 2022, of assaulting four women and three juvenile girls whom he met over social media sites. According to Hollywood Unlocked, investigations indicated Walker may have been a serial predator, with over 30 women accusing him of abuse between 2013 and 2018. He reportedly utilized his business connections to take advantage of his victims, who were mostly aspiring actors and models.
Kaalan Walker has broken commitments to his victims.
According to Deputy District Attorney Yasmin Fardghassemi, Kaalan Walker is suspected of meeting victims on Instagram and Twitter under the guise of doing picture and music video shoots. Prosecutors also alleged that Walker would mention superstars like Drake in order to persuade ladies that he could arrange a meeting with them. He is accused of trying to exploit ladies when they were inebriated in at least two incidents.
Fardghassemi stated that the ladies who came forward did not know one other, but they all claimed to be victims of the actor.
She stated:
“(The) defendant Kaalan Walker is the one thing that connects all of these ladies.” (…) You’ll witness a darker side of him.”
She continued, saying:
“He didn’t care when they yelled, ‘Stop.’”
Walker’s attorney, Andrew Flier, responded to the charges by claiming that the women were fabricating false claims in order to exact vengeance on the actor and mirrored the mentality of business politics.
Flier stated:
“(My client) insists on his innocence. (He) did not obtain a fair trial since the Court ignored several key matters.”
According to Flier, the ladies lodged charges against his client because he failed to fulfill his commitment to further their careers. However, he asserted that Walker did not attack them.
He stated:
“My client is being unjustly labeled as a monster (…) they’ll lie to you because they know you fell for his BS.”
He continued:
“Mr. Walker’s tendency is to offer false promises, and they bought it… Each of these ladies made their own choices deliberately. He didn’t push them… That’s retaliation for Mr. Walker, and we’re not going to allow it to happen.”
Kaalan Walker also appeared in In Contempt and Kings, according to IMDB. He was also a rapper and a dancer.
