After just becoming engaged, American singer Becky G and footballer Sebastian Lletget are likely to marry. Becky announced the news on social media, where she also shared a few photos from the proposal, in which they were dressed similarly. The couple became romantically involved in 2016 after being introduced by Naomi Scott and appeared in public together on many occasions. Becky characterized Lletget as her closest friend in an interview two months earlier, saying,
“We’ve been together for almost six years, yet it still seems brand new in many respects because we’re embracing the shifts and changes that are occurring in our lives and inside ourselves, and we’re supporting each other in that. And you can’t truly compel things to happen. However, things have suddenly become quite difficult.”
Becky said last year that Lletget and her had a lot in common, which deepened their bond even more. She added that their relationship benefited them and created a feeling of mutual love and respect. Becky G told People magazine that Lletget has long liked her work. She also claimed to be a fan of the player, and the two agreed to support one another’s careers while keeping a balance.

Sebastian Lletget began his career with West Ham United FC in the English Premier League, however, he was never given the opportunity to play on the field. He joined the LA Galaxy in 2015 and made his debut. He became FC Dallas’ second-highest goal scorer after scoring numerous goals for LA Galaxy II against PSA Elite, Philadelphia Union, and Portland Timbers.
He subsequently played for the USMNT, and despite scoring a goal, Lletget was forced to leave the game due to a foot injury. During the 2016 MLS season, he played more than 2,000 minutes. Following his injury recuperation, he returned to the pitch in 2018 and led his side to a CONCACAF Nations League 2019-20 triumph against Honduras. The 30-year-old captained his squad at the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup and played in four FIFA World Cup qualifiers this year.
Becky G formalizes her relationship
Becky G and Sebastian Lletget’s relationship was officially announced in 2016. During an interview with ET at the time, Becky said,
“It’s as though [we’re soulmates]. When I say that, I’m not lying. I get the impression that there is something really unique [between us].”
Relationships, according to the singer, take a lot of work. Despite the fact that she and Lletget are both preoccupied with their jobs, the player motivates her to be a better person.
