Stanley visits Spain as part of one more voyage across the world in search of the NBA’s “next great thing,” where he meets Bo Cruz. The young, witty basketball fanatic on the streets and construction worker by day checks all of Stanley’s criteria for the specific skill he seeks.
However, Stanley’s arduous trip does not finish there, as the Sixers’ new owner, the irritated Vince Merrick, refuses to admit Bo into the squad, claiming his lack of expertise, prompting Stanley to resign in a fury. Bo and Stanley’s adventure together starts here. Faced with personal catastrophes, tumultuous pasts, and contemporary challenges, the pair perseveres with the help of their families.
