Adam Rippon is an American former figure skater whose full name is Adam Richard Rippon. He began skating in 1999 and retired in 2018 when he was a member of the New York Skating Club. He is well-known for winning numerous championships both in and out of the United States.

Adam Rippon was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on November 11, 1989. He was born into an Irish Catholic family as the first of six children. He was born with severe hearing loss, which necessitated surgery before completing his first year at Yale University. Fortunately, he was able to regain his hearing.
His parents divorced when he was 15 years old, in 2004. His mother’s name is Kelly, and she was a former skater and dancer who taught him to skate when he was young, and he skated for the first time when he was ten years old.
